Pensioner in his nineties wins
Oldest Working Fridge competition

Colin Barfield, owner of a 60 year old Polarcold fridge, has won Time to Change's Oldest Working Fridge 2009 competition. On Tuesday 28 April Mr Barfield, from Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, was presented with a new A+ fridge whilst his old model was taken away to be recycled.

Douglas Herbison, Chief Executive of AMDEA said of the competition:

"Our winner can now enjoy running his new green fridge at a fraction of the cost and reap all of the rewards that the latest A+ technology has to offer".
